'Phaidra' wordt beschouwd als een triphylla-type, met lange bloemen in trossen aan de tak-einden,
maar er zit niets in van Fuchsia triphylla. De plant heeft een bijzonder gecompliceerde afstamming, zoals hierboven te zien is. De veredelaar Mario de Cooker heeft deze plant, evenals zijn mooie cultivar 'Merel', genoemd naar een terriër. Ik heb deze plant op de show in Ootmarsum gezien, maar zelf heb ik er geen ervaring mee, ik weet niet of deze plant moeilijk te kweken is. |
'Phaidra' is regarded as a triphylla-type, with long flowers in racemes on the ends of its branches,
but there's nothing in it of Fuchsia triphylla itself. The plant has a very complicated genealogy, as you can see above. 'Phaidra' was, just like lovely 'Merel', named after one of its hybridizer Mario de Cooker's terrier dogs. I saw this fuchsia at the show at Ootmarsum, but I don't have any experience with it myself, I don't know about its qualities in cultivation. |
