53. Gele lelie (hier: Tijgerlelie) - Yellow lily
Lilium lancifolium (syn. L. tigrinum) (Liliaceae)

De bloem hier afgebeeld is geen gele lelie, maar een tijgerlelie, vanwege de vlekken; de kleur is bovendien niet geel, maar oranje.
Ik vond 'm wel wat lijken op Lilium martagon, de Turkse lelie (Turkenbund) uit Oostenrijk, die daar in 't wild in de bergen groeit. De bloemen van deze wilde plant zijn wel kleiner.
Echt gele lelies bestaan ook - zoals te zien op de foto's hieronder. Ik zag ze in een open tuin.

The flower shown in the picture is no yellow lily, but a tigerlily, with its brown spots; its colour is orange really, not yellow.
There is some resemblance with Lilium martagon, the Turkish lily (Turkenbund) growing in the wild a.o. in the Austrian mountains; this has smaller flowers than cultivated tigerlily.
Real yellow lilies do exist, as you can see in the photos below. I saw them in an open garden.
