But if the plant stays limp for some time (e.g. by lack of water), the buds often don't open anymore because the tips of the sepals dry out soon. |

De vorm van deze elegante bloemen is heel apart. De bobbel in de bloembuis, een eindje onder het vruchtbeginsel, wijst op een verlaagde honingklier.
De plant is helaas erg roestgevoelig. |
The elegant shape of the flowers is very special. The thickened part in the tube, at some distance from the ovary, indicates a lowered honey-gland.
This plant is very susceptible to rust. |
