Torville and Dean heeft een vrij grote, dubbele witte bloem met wat lichtrose aan de basis van de kroon. De kelk is groenwit. De plant onderscheidt zich van de veel bekendere 'Annabel' door donkerder blad en een wat "koeler" wit van de bloemen, die bij 'Annabel' iets naar crème neigen.
Nog een verschil is, dat 'Annabel' beslist wat zon nodig heeft, terwijl 'Torville and Dean' een uitgesproken schaduwplant is.
Torville and Dean has rather big, double white flowers with a blush of pink at the base of the corolla. Its sepals are white with green tips. The plant might be mixed up with 'Annabel', but those flowers are more cream-coloured. The foliage of 'Torville and Dean' is also darker.
Another difference is, that 'Annabel' needs some sunshine, while 'Torville and Dean' grows best in the shade.
